Elements and Performance Criteria
- Prepare for comprehensive inspection of park facilities
- Determine the specific facilities and equipment to be inspected as well as the purpose of the inspection as outlined in the operational request
- Identify the tools and equipment for testing and inspection and confirm availability with appropriate personnel
- Carry out pre-operational and safety checks on tools and equipment
- Prepare appropriate checklists and reporting formats to suit the activity
- Identify the types of facilities from checklist descriptions
- Undertake comprehensive inspection of park facilities
- Identify and record instances of non-conformity with Australian Standards, work health and safety guidelines and manufacturers’ standards
- Undertake inspections for structural integrity in an efficient and safe manner, according to enterprise policy.
- Identify and detail safety risks and hazards and situations.
- Ensure that checklist entries are concise and accurate.
- Undertaken inspections according to OHS requirements.
- Assess age and predict effective lifespan of existing park facilities
- Submit report and recommendations
- Address situations requiring urgent action
- Prepare concise and accurate reports and submit to management
- Review existing management systems, particularly regarding frequency of inspection, and make improvements in consultation with management
- Make recommendations for future action that are consistent with industry standards and best practice
- Submit collected data and information for inclusion on the asset management system
